DOWNTOWN LOS ANGELES, Calif. (January 24, 2023) – Two LAPD officers were injured in a traffic accident on South Alameda Street in downtown Los Angeles Thursday night.

The accident happened around 10:00 p.m. on January 19, on Olympic Boulevard north of the 10 freeway. According to the Los Angeles Police Department, a patrol cruiser carrying the two officers crashed into the pole. a traffic light in unclear circumstances.

Both officers suffered non-life-threatening injuries as a result. The paramedics took them both to the hospital for treatment.

It was not immediately clear whether officers were pursuing a suspect when the crash occurred.
