‘Industrial accident’ in Charlotte, NC, leaves 3 dead and others injured at construction site

An “industrial accident” in downtown Charlotte, North Carolina killed at least three people on Monday, according to reports.

The Charlotte Fire Department said an “industrial accident” unfolded around 9 a.m. at a construction site in the 700 block of East Morehead St. in the Dilworth area.

Three people died and two others injured were taken to an area hospital, firefighters said.

Following the collapse of a scaffolding, there are three victims, confirmed the fire of Charlotte. Two other people were transported to an area hospital.

WBT’s Mark Garrison tweeted that three construction workers were killed when the scaffolding apparently collapsed. The workers reportedly fell 70 feet as a wall toppled over them. . Digital has contacted Charlotte Police and Fire Department for more information.

Dozens of first responders, as well as a crime scene investigation vehicle from the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department were spotted at the scene, according to WSOC-TV.
