(Pocket-lint) – Players picking up the Callisto Protocol on 2 December won’t have access to all of the game’s death animations with paid DLCs adding new ones later.
While downloadable content isn’t new, some are already pointing out that Callisto Protocol may have removed content from the original version of the game in order to later sell it as content. However, Striking Distance Studios CEO Glen Schofield says that’s not the case at all. Mainly because the content doesn’t even exist yet. Schofield goes on to say that the only reason more death animations will be available is because players are asking for them.
Death animations will be part of two packs, the Riot Pack and the Contagion Pack. They are both included in the Season Pass which is part of the Digital Deluxe Edition. It could be clearer, that’s for sure.

However, you will get more in your packages. The Contagion pack comes with a new ultra-hard mode with permadeath along with a few skins. This Riot pack also includes a survival mode and more skins.
The Callisto Protocol launch is set to take place on December 2, and it’s already a game Dead Space fans can’t wait to get their hands on.
