How to Unlock Gold Camo in COD MW2
Camo Challenges have changed in Modern Warfare 2 and are now quite easy to do. Most of the challenges can be completed by simply upgrading your weapons or simply playing different modes. This makes it quite accessible for the average player to get the Gold Camo as well. There aren’t tons of challenges like in previous modes, which means it’s faster to get camouflage skins. We’re going to tell you everything you need to do to unlock the Camo as fast as possible.
So there is a new in-game challenge system to unlock Camos skins. Each weapon has 4 base camouflage skins, each of these 4 skins has a different mission that you need to complete. Once you have completed all four challenges, you unlock the Gold Camo mission. The mission ranges from 50 kills to 15 kills from behind.
The Gold camouflage challenge is quite simple and can be accomplished by anyone. To unlock the Gold Camo, you need to get all 3 kills without dying, 10 times. To complete the challenge, you don’t even have to try. You can easily complete it in 2 matches without any extra effort.
The great part is that your kills stack up and count as individual streaks. For example, if you get 6 kills without dying, they will count as two separate streaks of three kills. Thus, you don’t need to keep dying and respawning to complete the mission.
Also, if you quit a game before it ends, you still get all the progress you’ve made. That’s fine because there’s no real way to track your Camo Challenge progress while you’re in a match. So you’ll have to keep track and go back when you think you’ve finished it.
Camouflage missions unlock as you upgrade your weapon, so you’ll need to grind a bit to max out your weapon. The good thing is that if you only focus on upgrading your weapons during the invasion, you still complete most of the mission by the time you level up. So you only have to complete two missions to get the Gold Camo. Yes, it really is that simple.
You can max out your weapon in invasion in about an hour and considering the few games you’ll have to play to unlock the camo, it should only take you about an hour and 45 minutes to unlock a gold camo for a weapon.
As you will need to get a lot of kills to complete these challenges, some game modes will be faster than others. Ground War is awesome, the game mode is based on killing and capturing objectives. As there are many people in the game and many objectives to capture, the enemies are distracted. Which makes it easier for you to stay behind and kill easily.
Game modes like Hardpoint and Confirmed Kill are also great for taking on challenges. These are fast and have frequent respawns so you can focus on rushing and getting as many kills as possible.
If you’re just trying to improve your weapon, the best game mode will be Invasion. Invasion has 20 players as well as 20 bots that really do nothing and are easy to farm. You get the same amount of XP from killing bots, so you can just focus on killing them rather than players. Bot kills don’t count towards your camouflage challenges, so Invasion is best for just upgrading your weapons.
One of the most overlooked aspects of the game when upgrading weapons or unlocking the Gold Camo In Modern Warfare 2 is the perks. Perks are absolutely essential for maximizing how efficiently you upgrade weapons or unlock something. If you want to achieve your goals as quickly as possible in a minimum of time.
The best base perk to run while trying to upgrade weapons and unlock camos will be the scavenger perk. The Scavenger Perk lets you loot bodies and reload ammo. Having ammo while playing game modes where you need to get a lot of kills is crucial. Running out of ammo is the most common and annoying way to die in the game.
The second best base perk will be Double time. When you perform Double Time, your crouch movement speed is increased as well as your tactical sprint duration. Double Time makes you fast overall, which means you’ll spend less time returning to the objective after respawning and you’ll win more fights.
For the Bonus Perk you can run Fast hands to increase reload speeds. Reload speed is critical in a fight and can be the difference between winning or losing. You also switch weapons faster so you have more options if you run out of bullets.
For the ultimate benefit, Quick Fix Where Phantom are going to be your best bet for the best results. Quick Fix helps you survive longer and win more fights. This comes in very handy when you’re killing with only a little health and other enemies are approaching. Ghost also helps you survive by concealing your location so both are great.
Field upgrades are as important as perks and will double your effectiveness. The best field upgrade to run will be the Tactical Insertion. Tactical Insertion helps you spawn in any place you set it. Having a Tactical Insertion deployed means you won’t be spending minutes roaming the map.
Although it’s awesome, it’s unlocked at level 53, so it will take you a while to unlock it. In the meantime, you can run the ammo box. The ammo box solves the second problem that the use will have. As mentioned before, the second problem is running out of bullets
With Call Of Duty Modern Warfare 2, the developers have really tried to reduce the time spent grinding weapons. It was a great move on their part which makes it easier to unlock and upgrade weapons which means you can spend more time playing and enjoying the game. Although they might have made it too easy .
The Gold Camo is so easy to unlock that trying to avoid it would be harder. Now making it easier to unlock isn’t a bad thing, but it’s not as satisfying to unlock Gold Camo In MW2. Gold Camo used to mean that you spent time with a weapon and did everything possible to achieve it.
However, there is good news for players who like to grind. The other Mastery Camo skins are harder to unlock, so you can still feel that sense of accomplishment. Even though it can be easy to unlock the Gold Camo, it still looks sick to run.
What are camouflage skins
Like in any other multiplayer online game, skins are a big part of Modern Warfare 2. Having great skin is almost a sign of dominance. In Modern Warfare, unlocking one of the mastery skins is a badge of honor. It shows that you have worked hard and mastered the weapon perfectly.
