What do you want to see in the Steam Fall Sale? | © Valve

We are all aware that Steam sales are both a boon and a waste. Games are so cheap that you end up buying more than you could ever play. Still, who doesn’t love a bargain?

This time around it’s the Steam Fall Sale, and you can expect a slew of games, from all different genres, to be heavily discounted.. Below you’ll find all the information you need about the Steam Fall Sale.

  • Unfortunately Hogwarts Legacy pre-orders won’t be in the Steam sale, but you can buy it here, my fellow Harry Potter nerds: Hogwarts Legacy

Steam Fall Sale: Start Time

The Fall Steam Sale begins Tuesday, November 22 at 10:00 a.m. PT (1:00 p.m. ET / 6:00 p.m. GMT / 7:00 p.m. CET) and will last for exactly one week until November 29.. It’s actually Steam’s Black Friday, except it lasts for a week. I hope you have already finished this year’s game of the yearand you are ready for something new.

Maybe one day some of these puppies will be the subject of a Steam sale?

Top 10 Steam Fall Sale Deals

Let’s get to the most important part of the sale: what games are on offer and how much will they be discounted? Here are some of the titles we’ve heard about so far, in no particular order:

Portal 2 (-90% / $0.99)

With overwhelmingly positive reviews and a massive campaign, it would be almost foolish not to choose Portal 2. Plus…it’s literally $1. There are very few things that can still be bought at such a low price.

Wandering (-20% / $23.99)

You can consult our Stray review here. It’s a great deal for those who want comfortable single-player play, moving like a cat. It’s not the biggest saving at only -20%, but it’s not that expensive to start with.

Age of Empires IV: Anniversary Edition (-33% / $26.79)

Age of Empires IV is the kind of game you could spend hundreds of hours on. Even if it doesn’t reach the heights of the second game, it’s still a very fun title that’s well worth $27, especially since it’s the Anniversary Edition.

Red Dead Redemption 2 (-67% / $19.79)

You don’t need us to explain what Red Dead Redemption is. But we strongly encourage anyone who hasn’t played yet to check it out. Even if you don’t like cowboys, this world is beautiful enough for everyone to enjoy.

Shadow Tactics: Blades of the Shogun (-90% / $3.99)

If you’re a fan of the Desparados series, or if you were a fan of the old Robin Hood: Legend of Sherwood game, buy it now. Seriously, Shadow Tactics is one of the best stealth tactics ever, and it’s an absolute bargain for $4.

Detangle (-90% / $1.99)

It’s a very cute platformer, and it’s available now at an all-time low price. Sure, it won’t be a game you can keep playing for hundreds of hours, but you’ll have a few fun afternoons. And it must be worth it for $2.

Fallout: New Vegas (-75% / $2.49)

Okay, we might look cheap to include so many games for less than $5, but times are tough, and when games are so cheap, you can take a chance without fearing the remorse of the buyer. But don’t worry, you won’t regret buying Fallout: New Vegas, which remains one of the highest rated games in the entire Steam database, and possibly the best in the series.

Cyberpunk 2077 (-50% / $29.99)

Alright, this one is going to be super controversial. Some people will say it’s not even worth $30. But, and it’s a big but, if you like dystopian sci-fi, then for all its flaws, Cyberpunk 2077 is probably the best version of that fantasy you can find. And CDPR is committed to improving it, so you can think of it as more of an investment.

Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice (-50% / $29.99)

And that’s our much less controversial suggestion for $30. Sekiro is widely regarded as a carefully developed fantasy game. There really aren’t any big negatives to say for this one, it’s still a great game and it’s worth your time.

Hades (-40% / $14.99)

We will end on a high note: Hades. It’s an extremely popular game, and it’s widely regarded as one of the best rogue-like dungeon crawlers created in the last ten years. In fact, it’s probably one of the best rogue-like dungeon crawlers of all time.

And there you have it, everything you need to know to take advantage of the Fall Stream Sale. Oh, and if you still need a Steam Deck to play some of these games, we have you.
