It’s Thanksgiving! Baseball fans can come together and celebrate all the things they’re grateful for when it comes to their favorite Major League team. For Chicago White Sox fans, it’s been a disappointing year, but that doesn’t mean you can’t thank some people.

When it comes to offense, people might be grateful for Eloy Jimenez and his raw power. On the pitching side, Dylan Cease is one to be grateful for after what he accomplished in 2022. Overall, the White Sox still have a long way to go, but there are some nice players to cheer on.

There is also the prospect side of things. The White Sox don’t have a highly touted farm system right now, as most of their top prospects graduate to become Major League Baseball players, but that doesn’t mean there aren’t a few. players to excite.

There are a few stallions in the system, but the one with the most excitement is Oscar Colas. This young man could one day become a very good major league player. He should take his first steps in early 2023 with the White Sox. There is even a chance that it will start on opening day.

The White Sox have dealt with injuries to certain players more than once, which could give him some breathing room regardless of what happens if those injuries happen again. The ideal situation is that he is immediately the full-time right fielder.

If this happens, it means two things. The first is that he was good enough to immediately be a hard-hitting player. It also means they haven’t paid too much for a free agent that won’t help them in the long run. They don’t need Adam Eaton-type players anymore to try to smooth things over.

Oscar Colas won’t be the savior of this team, but he could very well be a good player who helps them earn a bit more than all the other options they currently have. We’ll see what happens.
