Last night, DC Studios co-CEO James Gunn hopped on Twitter to debunk the latest Henry Cavill DC casting rumor.

The rumor referenced claimed that former Superman actor Henry Cavill had been approached to play Frankenstein in the upcoming Commandos Creatures series. When asked how true the rumor was, Gunn was quick to shut it down, stating that it was “completely untrue” and that DC already had the actor for Frankenstein.

Another Twitter user suggested Gunn’s response sounded like “hate towards Cavill.” The director responded by saying that the rumor was circulating on various news sites and he was just answering the question posed to him. He went on to explain that DC had discussed other roles with Cavill – but not Frankenstein’s.
